In response to: 'things that annoy you' in P&P on PH

Apologies if this is the wrong place, but I don't think I'll ever take a more poignant snap.

I tend to stay out of the pie and piston for the sake of my health, this sort of thing is exactly the reason why.

Yes - I hate to be a snob, but the saloon bar is usually a bit crowded out and it's not always that comfy in the lounge either, is it? We're best off in one of the meeting rooms upstairs like this one!

What an entirely bizarre thread, or is there a page 1 that i can't see?

Me too, I quit a year or so ago when the "children" were clearly taking over the asylum!

I recently removed the P&P from my list. Just had enough of it.

I did that about 18 months ago, along with GG. SP&L was on my list for about a month but as far as i can see serves no purpose other than a place for wannabe gansters and pretend police to argue about nothing. This forum and teh South West forurm are about the only ones i read regularly these days.

I also deleted P&P - I still have GG and SP&L but don't every go to them.

GG is next to go I suspect. Inevitable as the site gets bigger. These "special interest" fora will be the last refuge of the old guard methinks.

Although it makes an interesting study - "the maturation cycle of the internet forum".

I remember when this were all fields, y'know.

In fact (gosh!) I DO remember that there was a time before Pie and Piston! It was just a whim one day wasn't it? Just to keep GG clear of non-motoring...

Sorry to bounce this back up

It's driving me nuts...

The General Motorsport forum is becoming increasingly populated by those who genuinely believe that F1 IS a sport and the Le Mans forum is becoming increasingly populated by those who don't actually know where LM is or what happens there but have heard that it's a good place to go to drink beer and behave like a dickhead in June.

Sorry....had to say it, it feels safe here

Perhaps I really am getting too old... paperbag
