06 Monaro Stereo
Discussion
This question has been asked many times before on other forums like ls1.com.au and ls1gto.com, so maybe easier for you to trawl through the search function there because as far as i can see, there are no easy way of doing it.
One solution if you dont mind going the FM transmitter route is one of these or an iTrip?.
I cant speak from experience, but from what ive heard they could be one of the better types.
Can get off ebay also i think.

Hi,
I've been looking into this myself over the last few weeks. There is no way to connect the iPod to the existing stereo as standard, however, there are two ways to do it.....both can be found on the LS2-GTO forum.
First, and I guess easiest, is to buy the Phreddy's AUX in module. See here for details:

and here:

Someone else has come up with a method of doing it yourself, which involves taking the stereo to pieces and soldering in some connectors......Have a look here for some really detailed instructions and pictures:
www.thelug.com/radio/gtoradio.html
As for my solution - I'm going to replace the existing unit with an Alpine HU that has a full-speed iPod interface.....
Hope that helps.

have a look at this [url] www.connects2.com/c2search.aspx?catID=40 [/url,
take the head unit out and have look on the back next to the ISO powetr and audio looms on most Blaupunkt stereos (stock and aftermarket) have mini ISO sockets, these are used for connecting CD changers, external amps etc. if the Monaro one has a blue socket this will fit, though it may take the place of the CD changer (but why would you want the changer if you have an IPod?
Hope this helps (you can order it through any Halfords)
