Having left my car in storage while i'm earning a living overseas I left strict instructions to my brother to start her at least once a week and to make sure he doesn't activate the alarm, leave handbrake on etc.

Find out today that after 3 weeks he decides to go try and start her.

Dead battery, no surprise there.

Its now on charge through the cigarette lighter but not confident things will improve.
Can someone put my mind at rest and re-assure me that my battery isn't now useless. If that was the case i'd need to get a tow truck to 'christophers neils' in northwich as I have no means or tools to remove battery from underneath the car.

You are better off charging the battery through the main live feed at the back of the starter motor than using the ciggy lighter. If it doesn't hold charge then its knackered i'm afraid, although three weeks isn't bad.
