My chim is finally sold The keys were handed over this morning to a guy who is really going to look after it & will get a great car for the money.

I'll be takign a break from TVR ownership for a while, but I'm sure I'll be back, maybe a Cerb next time :-)

Congrats on closing the sale especially at this timeof year but I bet you've got mixed emotions.

I'm toying with the same thought - going hot and cold on it whenever I think about selling actually. I can't believe it's even a real consideration having had such a fantastic few years of fun. But I'm facing a few years of regular airport runs each week and although I have no concern about security in the car park I use at Heathrow I just hate leaving it there to collect all that airbourne crap that takes forever to clean off. I tried using a cover but the wind usually means I come back to find it with one end undercovered. I'm thinking of picking up a new Type R as a hack for a couple of years after which I'd like to get back to TVR with a Tusc Mk2 conv.

I'll definitely be back in a TVR, this time the choice was reinforced by needing the capital tied up in the car to set up a business. As the job will involve more driving than present I may have to wait a bit before getting another TVR.

There was a pang of regret as we drove off, but the bloke getting it is a car nut so I know it'll be looked after.
