finished all my work yesterday, and took the griff fo a good drive today, and im amazed!
ive fitted the radtec alloy rad, new standard 84deg stat,2 new fans, silicon hose kit and stainless coolant pipes, act induction pipes and a k&n. oh and i moved the otter switch into the radiator.
ever since i had the car she has been running hot,90-110 deg! rather worrying in the summer,i was always wondering if the car would overheat/loose water, and it cant of done it any good running so hot.....
but now...wow.... the car warms to about 88deg, and sat in traffic has not once risen above 92deg, once the fans kick in they only run for about 30 seconds, and its cool again.
my car seems to be running better now, i suppose its because its running at the right temp, and its got a clean air filter in it for once.
one happy bunny today :-), the car feels great,a pleasure to drive.

If it helps - I took pictures when fitting:

A very informative article - especially about the need to modify the fixing points a bit.
Having moved my existing radiator upwards so as to get the fan cowls off (cooling fan replacement), I reckon radiator removal is not quite as bad as some articles suggest (I was 75% of the way there anyway). When it comes to radiator replacement, the Radtec one is the way to go IMHO.

dont forget to rubber mount the rad, including the bottom pegs! i used 10mm rubber washers and some washing machine hose that fitted snugly over the pegs
Wish I'd read this yesterday!
The upper rad mounts are rubber cone type things (remind me of the things that hold exhaustpipe brackets), but no sign of any rubber bits at the bottom when I lifted it upwards. As its all back in now, it'll have to manage without again! Never seemed to rattle about though.
I'll fit the rubbers next time.....
