Dear All
I have a dream........
I am a TVR widow. My fiancee, Richie owns a blue late Chimera 500.
We're getting hitched on 07/07/07 on the Isle of Wight, but we usually hang out around the Hampshire area (go the Hampsters!). He intends to drive himself and the best man to the church in his Chim, and then me and my puffy dress from the Church to the Reception at Osbourne House. (I gave up on the Horse and Carriage option - he never would'a allowed that!
). Osbourne House is an Uber Posh Gaff Prince A built for his bird, who just so happened to be Queen Vic, check it out on the English Heritage website.
I have to admit that a long time ago I thought it would be seriously cool to have a Tiv convoy during our wedding, but I didn't think anyone else would be interested, that is, until I saw the response to the other wedding plea.
To get to the point, if you'd like to come along, we'd be honoured to have as many as could make it for a noisy arrival at the Church, then from the Church to reception. We wouln't make you come in and sing hymns...unless U want to, that is
. We would provide ribbons - You provide the car, your good selves and the loud pedal to honk!
There would be a spot at the champagne reception
on the Palace Terraces (daahhling!) and a photo op. in the Carriage Circle for those who make it. My soon-to-be other half has pointed out that this day is the Goodwood TVRCC Speed Championship - in fact, I only just persuaded him to miss out on this in order to get married by the promise of a sensational wedding night
and free rein to go to any TVR event for the next five years!!
. But hey, if you get bored of eating the fumes of all the cars goin' round the track you could always hop on the ferry instead. Heck, you could even bring the missus/mistress/family pet and make a weekend of it. The petrol station opposite Osb. House has the cheapest petrol we've seen in the South.
If there are enough people we could stick a few of the bridesmaids in the convoy (v. tight/short dresses notwithstanding) to save them going on the bus
. Oh, and did I forget to mention... my Bridesmaids are HOT!
(and unattached). (The Ushers aren't bad, either
). However, there's no commitment, we don't need names or anything, just approx. numbers so we can warn the Churchwardens to get their tin hats out!
Anyway, if you'd like to help make my dream come true (can't think what gal wouldn't like a load of hot blokes in hot rides lined up in the carriage circle outside her reception?)
then let me (or my better half) know!
Yours, getting my earplugs prepared......

(and unattached). oh I do like your style Emily
Thought the honey trap might get U guys interested!
I'm inviting a few of my single girlfriends from my uni course (ratio 80% women to 20% men... and 5 of those are gay!) to the wedding. Now I've got my man, I'm only too happy to play cupid to the PH lonely hearts.... ahh, don't you just love weddings??
But seriously, as said in the other wedding thread, we birds take our weddin day very seriously, and there's nothing I'd like more than some tiv's supplying the soundtrack.
I will indeed post again nearer the time, and will be watching with interest how the other weddin hoon goes on!

Hang on a sec before you leave.... How old are these lasses?
Being that I just lost my other half and if the TVR is not the babe magnet it should be then I might need some help if I'm still on my Jack Jones by July (actually, no bugger that it'll cost £100 in fuel every time I want to see said girl(s))

Island tivvers
I don't know any tivvers that live on the island, or who owns the light blue chim near notgoingtsayhichone ferry terminal, but could anyone you suggest some good roads/routes over there. There will be some cruising around to be done in the few days before the big day.
Thanks in advance

I could be up for this as well. Need to check the diary but a weekend on the Isle of Wight with a wedding hoon could be fun.
clivef where are you? We may need some local knowledge.
clivef where are you? We may need some local knowledge.I`ve a griff and live on the island, pleased to help out with any local knowledge that may be useful, and of course turn up on the day and make as much noise as possible
Dnb is a local as well, has a black griff, also a chap with a cossie S2, possibly a couple of others might be interested, perhaps if a few people are going to come over we can organise a bit of a weekend meet ect, but be warned, the island is a beautiful place, but its roads are quite bumpy, so you won`t be hooning around to much, especially that time of year, as the roads are pretty busy with all the holiday makers, but if you want to cruise around, enjoy the scenery and sample to good pubs then the more the merrier
which church is the wedding being held in?

The service is in St Mildred's, Whippingham at 2.30. Most of our lot are staying to the east in Ryde and the family in the Priory Bay. I know that one route would take us through Ryde (lots of buildings for the noise to bounce off and upset some icecream eating tourists)
unless you suggest via Sandown and Newport (if there is less traffic) but I haven't measured it yet.

Your soon-to-be other half is luckier than he thinks, the Goodwood TVRCC Speed Championship event has been moved forward to 30th June, so he can get to see that and have a sensational wedding night!
I too may be interested in a day trip to the I.O.W. for a TVR tour, but I'll make a decision nearer the time.
