RIP Eezeegeezer

I heard a rumour in town one night last month, that fellow PHer eezeegeezer died last year. He had moved down to Sussex and didnt have many contacts here that I knew - I have only recently confirmed that he has in fact passed on.
He was still in his 30's, tragically. I know he would have wanted me to post, as he met many of us on runs out in Sussex, attended a rose and crown and at least one tunnel run hoon too.
Although he wasnt a PHer for long, one of his most cherished experiences (and possessions) in life was his Yellow Cerbera, and it was plain that he loved his TVR more than life itself. Im glad he had the opportunity and privalege to own and enjoy one, and that he could meet and share his new found passion with some of us too, before he died.
Those that knew him will remember him as the ever smiling chap who always greeted you with the words, my friend.

I dont think I can recall having ever met a larger than life character. Ever. Massive personality. Its good (and not surprising) to hear that he was remembered. He led a relatively high octane life, shouldered a great deal of responsibility at work which carried its own stresses, and died of a heart attack. I remember him well from when you guys came to see us at The RAC, he was a lovely guy.

Although I cant affirm with absolute certainty under what circumstances his heart did actually stop beating, the 'word' is that his death was in fact drug related. After much debate, I decided to say what Ive just said, whilst maintaining respect for Sean, as there is an important message there for all of us. And we all know what that message is. Just a reminder if you like.
Whilst most of us have dabbled to one degree or another, we never expect that it would ever happen to us, or anyone we know. Very sad indeed.
Im 31, and over the last year have become increasingly more aware of my own mortality. Dramatically so! Until recently, I was invincible. Everyone is different, but this awareness is supposed to make its way to the surface of ones consciousness during your 30's. It certainly did for me. A good thing Im sure.

Thanks for posting, we all had some good runs together didnt we. If someone had said then, in 2 years time neither of you would have your cerbies, and one of you would be dead, I wouldnt have believed it in a million years.

Yep,happy days Rob,mate that is sad news old Sean was a good guy happy go lucky type of bloke.Last time i saw him was on the 1st big tunnel run,about 7.00am on a sunday morn telling jokes and ripping the piss out of you ;o)

Know what you mean there. Had one of my best mates pass away at a mere 42, years ago. He was a bit like the guy you describe - full of life (despite his body struggling to keep up) and a driving force behind our little group of fast Saab freaks back in the day. With hindsight, we never quite recovered from the loss. In fact, I don't think I've spoken with anyone from what what used to be a very tight knitted bunch of folks for the past six months or so.
