I finally got round to checking out the heater blower as it hasn't worked for the past year.
Previous I thought it had been the heater module but after a couple of hours frigging about removing the dash cowl, I found that the module is ok,
The fuse is also ok,
I thought I'd check out the blower motor, but I can't find it!
The bible and previous topics say its in front of LHS inner wing, but it's not on my car (99 V reg).
Anyone know where it is on the later cars or are there any other components ie inline fuses or relays etc that are worth checking out?

I am assuming that the on/off control is the click-in twiddly knob type. Now that the dash is off ensure that this switch is working correctly.

Give all of the wires a wiggle in case there is a bad connection anywhere. Trying to determine which wire is a different story but at least you will be on the right track.

How do you know the heater module is OK? What did you do to check it?

Mine's a 1999 car too and the heater blower is mounted in the front nearside wing, in the top of the section between the wheel and the windscreen. I've never had cause to have to remove it but it looks a real pig of a job. From previous threads, I think it's mounted in its own fibreglass box from the inside and sealed in place with Sikaflex. I've certainly seen a picture of it a few weeks ago (posted by Victor Meldrew???).

Checked as soon as I got home, and I found it, it also is in the nearside footwell as you described, whats more the plug was disconnected, it was under the glued down carpet so not exactly visable. I must of knocked it when I connected the Opimate charger last winter. Re-connected it and its all working again.

Thanks for your help.
