Hello, Does anyone know the record (time and speed) for a Ford Pop? Is this accurate? I recall Paul Wright ran a 7.4@ 190 and Andy Carter ran about a 7.5@ 181mph in 1994? I know that a Prefect has run a 6.9 in the U.S but was this stretched?

carter run a 7.57 at 181mph

Paul run a 7.481 at 190.32 mph

just found this too....

In a coincidental twist of fate, the AA/Gasser final pitted a '48 Prefect against a '48 Anglia as a future crewmember beat his future boss. The crowd favorite Hypocrite Prefect driven by champion Steve Woods carries a decal on its side windows that reads "For Sale." Woods has been racing for years and is tiring of the tough schedule, so when the car is sold, Woods and his crewmember, Sal, are going to assist Chuck Moore with his Anglia. Woods had the quickest time (6.925) and fastest speed (199.77 mph) in qualifying.

this is the car.

this has also run a 6
