wheel offsets

Hi....I know this subject has come up before but i can't find it so.........I am thinking of fitting 16" Estorils in place of 15" same as LE Griffs and seem to remember it could be done but they had to be machined to provide correct offset which is what I believe they did for the LE.Is this right and if so could someone enlighten me as to how much to machine off.I have PA steering if this makes a difference.Any info or views from others who have done this would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance......Simon

15 inch wheels are 7inches wide with a 25mm offset and the 16 inch wheels are 7.5 inches wide with a 35mm offset so you will actually need a spacer to 'push' them out rather than machining them to get them to fit.I'm running 7.5x17 with a 30mm offset and these sit about the same as the original 15x7's. Looking at those Eibach spacers, the System 5 ones seem to be whats needed - this is the Sierra fitment.
