Who here takes something along to Le-Mans which could be considered a bit of a luxury?

Last year we took an ice making machine! Not totally necessary by any means but certainly helped keep the beers cool.

Anyone else take something a little ott that made your trip 'easier'?

Last year I bought a contraption that you put on top of a gas burner that made toast.

Erm......the Corvette maybe?

Sheffield to Le Mans in a car which gives just over 15mpg is a definite luxury. Full respect to the guys who take a big-block over and get less than half this.

I had a big desk fan last year that I plugged into my litte genny. As a result I was able to sleep in my tent beyond 0800 in the morning. Will certainly be taking that again!

Top tip there!!! I think the office will find itself mysteriously short of fans come June time. Sleeping passed 8am at Le Mans, now thats a novelty!

Without a doubt - you need a "James"

We usually take one and it puts the tent up, organises logistics, awards medals and cooks both curry on Thursday evening and breakfast in a morning.

Unfortunately, we lost ours last year but we've managed to re-acquire it again. hehe

Luxury indeed!!

Can you pick up one of these "James" at Carrefour or are they only found in England? I suppose you just power them with bottles of cheap French wine and that keeps them going all day before powering down at 4am.

Must get one for our little group this year as that Thursday curry has got me thinking...
