I seem to recall someone on PH replacing the normal bog-standard wiper blades on their Tamora/T350/Sagaris with these new Aerotwin ones? These are ones that were fitted to the 2007 Sagaris at the motor show last year.

Have done a search but no joy - can anyone else remember who it was?

I was gonna have a go this weekend, but it appears it's not just as simple as changing the blades themselves. There is some kind of conversion kit required. This info is all care of Halfords, so I wanted to have a chat with someone who's actually made the change.

Any guidance/help would be gratefully received.

That would be great if you could.

Are you using the kit that custardkid mentioned, or have you been looking at another route?

Found your posting about the wipers before - have you found a solution for the washer pipes?

And just to confirm, T350s have 2 x 19" wiper blades? Right?

Mine are odd sizes ie 1 x 450mm and 1 x 480. So I am going to order one 18 inch and one 19 inch

Ah, OK. Me thinks I'll need to measure mine first too!

I guess if you're just replacing the blade (and not the arm) there are no issues with the washer pipes?

Look forward to seeing your results.

I think the water pipes can be improved. Something like the Leven system?

The squirty pipes are ok, but at least one of my (and others) jets is completely random and they do have a habit of dribbling up the screen for a while after they have been used.

I totally agree. I did look on the Leven site yesterday, but couldn't find their washers. Maybe I was being thick!

But was there some discussion about the Leven system being too short or too long?

My drivers side pipe is great; loads of pressure and good coverage. But the passenger side is useless, and doesn't cover the full width of the wiper, so you get streaking. And yes, mine do both drip after use.

TVRs eh?!!

Both on this page: www.leventechnology.co.uk/index.htm

Tuscan is 21", Chim is 16".

As the squirty bit is separate from the blade I don't see why it would be too hard to supply an 18"/19" option as well.

Hmmm, that link only goes to the home page, but with a bit of digging I managed to find them under "latest news". A little hard to see what's going on with those photos, and it seems that you buy them as part of the blade. Which isn't much use if we all end up upgrading to these new aerotwin blades.

Might give them a call and see if they can supply just the jet bit, and if they've looked at the T350/Tamora/Sagaris yet.

OK fitted them. Ended up having to use the original plastic bits. They are very good. Need to adjust the passenger side slightly but in the rain today they worked wonders will try and get photos tomorrow.

cheers

Hi maddog,

So, I assume you are giving them the thumbs up and recommend buying them as an adaption to the Tamora/T350/Sagaris?

And to check, you didn't need any adapters or anything else - you just removed your existing blades, and did a straight forward replacement? And your washers pipes are still clipped to the existing wiper arms?

And finally, you bought an 18" blade (drivers side) and a 19" blade (passenger side)?

Just wanted to double-check before I order them.

(As an aside, have also ordered myself a new stereo headunit with direct iPod control too! Got a trip to Cornwall coming up so am getting all prepared. My full CD collection and working wipers, what more does one need? )

Just fitted a set to my saggy. Tried the 19" on the passenger side and it swepped of the screen, fitted a 16" which fixed it and also allowed me to reposition the arm so it doesn't touch the bonnet.

Would recommend them.
