Exhaust System

I have seen quite a few threads talking about replacement exhausts systems. I wondered if anyone had tried putting a sleeve in the rear boxes with straight or perforated pipe. This seems to be very common on TVR's (my other car and hence my handle). Has this been tried? I would like the car to make a bit more of a V8 growl, but don't really want to spend £2grand plus to do it and throw away a new exhaust.

you don't need to spend 2 grand plus if all you want is a bit more rumble. I've got several small companies around me here that could rattle up a custom exhaust in stainless for under a grand from the cats back. what you wouldnt then get though is the engine tuned to make the best use of the hopefully increased flow, just more noise. last I checked you could also pick up an exhaust from the US from the cats back for around the 700 quid mark shipped.

iv got a cat back system for a cv8 in stainless thats not to loud, thats open to offers.

its one i had made by a local guy and it will fit any early cv8 04 onwards and its got 2 X 3inch tail pipes.
