hello,
got troubles with electricity:
complete light system (96er Chimaera) does'nt work - in and outside [exept headlamp flasher] but all fuses seems ok.

at first I take the bible but the diagram there is incomplete because all wires goes to "connections to other diagrams" but I dont have the others...

had somebody a similar problem? or could somebody mail me an other diagram which could help to find this failure?

thanks
peter

Have you checked the switch ~ could be as simple as a connector has fallen off.

What year is your car manufactured ?
Is the light switch 2 press buttons or a knob that you turn?

Does all the other electrical equipment (wipers, horn, heater blower, etc work OK?
We don't seem to be helping this man much, does anyone know if this could be caused by the 100 amp fuse?

Peter,

Sorry I dont understand ... turn = rotate, knob is rotated, button is pressed (in/out).

Do you have buttons you press in & out to switch on lights
or a knob that you turn around.

Thats Ok, I have a diagram of the switch somewhere that may help you. Have you touched the connectors on the push button switch (middle one)? If you have we should check they are wired correctly. If not try swapping the light switch to the fog light switch (links). So prob either switch wired up wrong or faulty switch.

I will have a look for the diagram I have.

This implies some resistance in the 12v feed before it gets to the switch, could be dirty connections in the fusebox rather than the fuse itself?

OK, My wiring across the switch is like:

red - switched - red/white - headlight switch
red - switched - red/white - dash light switch - instrument lights

I would suspect you have simply red-red and red/white-red/white ~ I always check with a multimeter which switch terminals to use since I've made the mistake a few times
