My Supercar day.
Discussion
Dear all,
As most of you who have been kind enough to pm me over the course of last year will know, I now work for the Broughtons Group at Bentley Pangbourne, where I am in charge of running the aftersales department. Now as well as one hell of alot of hard work, there is also alot of fun to be had aswell.
Like today for example;
It started at about 10 am, when I had to do an extended road test on a car we had re-commisioned at the customer's request.
As the only person with previous experience on this car, it fell to me to oversee the final quality check.
It is not everyday that you get the keys to a brand new Supercar, with a full tank of petrol, and get told to ensure everything is as it should be.
The word fun doesn't even come close, and to those of you who saw me this morning, yes, it was as big a buzz for me as it was for you.
So I got back a little time later, having signed the car off, only to be told that there is a silver Supercar to quality control as well.
Now I have never driven this car before, (it is the silver one that was featured in Evo last month), but I can tell you that this car really surprised me. Now remember that I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to have done thousands of miles in some stunning cars, but nothing prepared me for how good the Spyker would be.
It sounded like no other car, was exceptionally responsive, the handling was very impressive, and I fell in love with this Dutch masterpiece. To the extent that if you are considering a Murcielago, Gallardo, 575, 430, you are not doing yourself any justice at all if you buy without investigating this car.
Now I know you may think I am biased, working for them and all, but those of you who know me know that if you cut me in half, I am full of Lamborghini, so for me to rate this car so highly blew me away. It is great.
And any car company that supplies a switch to disable the bypass valves is the sort of company that all petrolheads should appreciate.
Have a look at my profile for pics and updates.
Cheers,
Ruttboy.
Edited because I got a telling off for saying what cars I was testing!

Hi Ruttboy
Up untill only a few weeks ago, I worked for the Broughtons group
as senior service advisor at the Audi dealers in Wolverhampton.
Good company to work for and certainly enjoyed a few of their
christmas company event.
We have now been taken over by Jardines motor group which has
Lancaster group of dealers under its belt.
