Electrical gremlins
Discussion
Morning all.
My Mk1 Tusc has recently started thinking the passenger door is open so it winds down the window and won't let me wind it up again. It did this a few times during a long drive and resolved itself, sometimes lasting for a few minutes, but towards the end of the journey it decided it was open and that was that. Opening the door and shutting it again still wasn't enough to convince it to close the window, and it refuses to let me close it with the dial.
Any ideas what causes this and how I can go about fixing it?
I had some work done at TVR Craft the other day, including putting in a new stereo. They mentioned at the time that the last stereo had been butchered in by whoever fitted it, and that they'd had to fix some other wires behind the dash pod. They also didn't have enough time to fit the headunit in properly because the trim above the central column would have to come out too. So I'm convinced there's simply a loose wire, but not being electrically minded I don't know where to start.
Any helpful advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the replies.
I tried to get in to the car late last night, but once I'd blipped the key to disarm the alarm it wouldn't open either of the doors or boots.
I've experienced dodgy drivers door opening before, but not the passenger side as well!
Any ideas, and aside from the "secret" method of getting into the car is there anything else I can try?
Thanks,
Mark
