Bloke at work drives a Volvo T3 Saloon. I mentioned in passing my 1985 Cavalier passing it's MOT and he said "Must MOT mine sometime"

I ask when It's Due : November 2006 !!!

Anyway he takes it down and it fails on :

MISSING WHEEL NUTS.

Now the guy lives in a Dodgy area so I'm assuming it was a school boy prank.

But Thank God for the MOT man.

Good grief!

Some people amaze me, do they think an MOT is optional... and they must do it at their own convenience sometime after the old one has expired?

Also, shouldn't he have noticed that some wheelnuts are missing when doing his weekly tyre pressure checks?

The only time I drove a car with no MOT was to the MOT testing garage with an appointment card with me.

I'd cycle if it was closer than 33 miles (actually a lot closer than 33 miles)

i too aplaud the mot man

wifes Puma went in for it's first mot, failed on handbrake paperbag she'd been complaining it didn't work properly since we had the car, every time i used it, it worked fine (little hard for her to release after me but she managed) i put it down to operator error. rolleyes

i get reminded of this almost as often as the time i returned her car with finger tight wheel nuts. i put that down to her imagination. when i drove the car that evening i recognised the sound instantly and corrected the imaginary issue with a wheel brace.

now i am reminded to tighten wheel nuts if i open the garage door.
