Venture Shield any good?
Discussion
I know a few on here has Venture Shield on their cars, would you guys recommend it or just leave the car as it is? I had 3M on a GT3 a few years ago and was not 100% happy but maybe things have changed....
What I find positive with Venture Shield is the fact that no cutting on the car is required, everything is ready to go. Hmmmm
Did a search but nothing came up.

I've been reading up on this myself and have talked to people from 'Venture Shield', and 'Paint Shield' which is also pre-cut before applying.
I'm probably going for Paintshield myself, seems they can do fuller coverage if required (ie full bonnet), have an extra year gaurantee, and also do Porsche's offical press cars.
Not saying anything against Venture Shield, it sounds pretty similar in fact.

I had 3M film by Armourfend a few yrs ago on my C2, it had the orange peel effect on the finish so there's a fair bit of discrepancy on the shininess between the covered and exposed surfaced. It did save a fair few potential major stone chips though!
Just had the newer clear coated 3M film on my RS, by Paintshield, with full bonnet cover. The surface is not far off the rest of the car, and you just can't tell the film is there until you put you hand on it!
The full front end cover is the key, so you don't see the line.

Also a fan of the VentureShield. Had it on the car a year now and its kept things looking as good as day one. Much more reassuring when you have the tw@ts who cut-in close infront and kick up all the debris. Also, if you are genuinly serious about getting it, consider purchases from the states. The recent exchange and the fact that the prices are a lot more realistic IMHO is a clear bonus (think fraction of retail here).
