Quick Question

Can anyone tell me what exactely is sleeving. I've just phoned my local TVR garage (dreadought Garage) who said that sleeving makes the car quieter!?! She then went on to tell me that they can drop the exhaust and removed the sound deadning from the middle section of the exhaust which would cost me £152

in the back box are two performated pipes, surrounded by wadding. Sleeving involves cutting the box open, sliding solid pipes over the perforated pipes, putting the wadding back in (there is a good reason for this but can't remember why) then welding up again.
Cost me 1hr of labour IIRC, plus a few quid for the pipe.
hope that helps

It certainly wont be quieter,it will be quite a bit louder in fact, and if you drive on motorways for long periods i wouldent recommend it.
