R33 GTS-T need an ECU re-map

I'm in the process of buying an imported Skyline R33 GTS-T
I've been told that it will need an ECU re-map to enable it to run on UK fuel.

Is this true or can it be run safely on UK feel?
Can someone explain why?

With a standard ECR33 ECU? You can run it fine on VPower/Optimax.Though ours didn't like anything rated under 98octane, ie BP sul.

yes as above you can run on v power or bp ultimate without mapping,dont run normal crap fuel though

Or buy your self a bottle of the Octane booster to put in everytime you fill up.

you can get a remap at say abbey motorsport/ rk tuning...theres loads of places that do it....

they run fine on high octane fule as stated above, but a slight ecu tweak wouldnt do it any harm

try not to touch normal fuel unless you have an octane booster, but even like this try to steer clear of this method...only use it if your in the sh"t
