Differential Oil Seals

Is it a straightforward job to replace the diff oil seal, where the prop shaft goes in? Mine is leaking oil onto the exhaust and every time I stop I have this strong burning oil smell.

I think the crankshaft seal (clutch end) is also leaking, not sure I'll tackle that one though until I know I won't need the car for a while!

Are the seals easy to get hold of?

Nope, you need a special tool to remove and replace the pinion seal. Local transmition speacialist should be able to do it, but getting a new seal may take some time to get

I did mine a few years ago, you will need a torque gun to get the nut off, also mark the nut before removal and try and get it back in the same place.
