Assuming that they're the same as the door solenoids the part number can be found on Chimaera Pages...

Cheers... having dug deepeer (and having taken the solenoid to bits and discovered nothing wrong with it), the problem seems to be elsewhere. I assume the capacitor in series with one side of the feed is there to soak current when the solenoid reaches end or travel... (there's continuity through it, whatever)

There is an intermittent voltage/current drop at the feed to the servo, switch seems ok (not great but ok), so I'm suspecting corrosion or a partial wiring break in the circuit smewhere. Now, the feed is orange/black and plain black. The O/B is the switched positive, but I can't find any corresponding colour in the panel behind the passenger side door, where I thought the loom runs... any ideas whether there's a dedicated connector for this circuit or whether it combines somehow? Does the circuit have its own fuse/relay etc (can't hear any relay tripping)?

Help... will need fuel soon laugh

There is a red/blue cable that runs from the release button over the dash, down the passenger door, thru the sill, over the wheelarch, tacked to the top of the boot wing under the carpet... It comes out with all the loom in the number plate area. The connector from the solenoid should mate with it?

Cheers for the reply... the cable colours to the solenoid connectors and to the switch are different. The spur to the solenoid joins into the main loom in the boot just above the passenger side rear light...so I'm assuming there's a joint or two and prolly a connector (or two) betwixt that and the switch. Oh well, not like I was planning on doing anything else tomorrow rolleyes
