Flames
Pops and bangs so loud I thought someone was trying to shoot me.

Only driven about 15 miles but I LIKE.

Also, for anyone who thinks their Sag bottoms out too much, just found out that my shockers were set at full soft by the factory.
Had them turned "up" a bit and driven down a previously scrape-hell road with no probs at a sufficient speed.

Will report on both with few more miles under the belt

cheers,
sw

Not sure what you mean set to full soft as the shockers are fixed bilsteins? But if its the ride height you mean can you measure the amount of thread left adjusters and let the forum know. Who did de cat etc?

Re Shockers

I am a mechanical muppet so will get all the correct terminology from Automedon and post.

Re ECU - No. Advice was not required. Too early to comment. Will let you know when I have done a few more miles and the engine is either running great or dead.

DJC - As you can probably tell I'm quite pleased so far. thanks. Let me have the pics of the aero stuff when you can

Confirmation that I am a muppet. It was the ride hight, I'll try and find out how much, but following a long way round trip to work (I live less than a mile from the office I am at today, commute took 35 minutes) I can confirm that this set up is much more suited to B roads.

De-cat gets thumbs up. "Deeper" edge to the sound, increase in popping and banging, without being ridiculously loud at cruising speeds.

Work done by Auotmedon.
De-cats by DJC.

Pleased to have the car back.

Mine is off today for the DJC Treatment - de-cats, opened slots.
Current ride is set higher than my first Sagaris, little or no bottoming out, but having been down to track at Knockhill late last year very happy with the ride/performance.
May look into it a bit more once the babe is back.

ASAP on return of the car. Will be at the Celtic Gathering march 9-11th, so expect a lot of interest there, also at the Tuscan/Speed Six bash at Loton/Shrewsbury in May.

Is that £500 for the de cat pipes ? If so what is the difference between your and the tvr power ones which are half the price?

I don't know, I didn't talk to TVR power.
Perhaps someone else can answer.

my stainless decat pipes were £188 delivered from peninsula tvr.

Do TVR Power actually do a custom pipe? when I enquired with them about a year ago, all they did was hammer out the inside of the cats to make it straight through.

Mentioning TVR Power in my vicinity at the moment isnt a massively wise thing to do for reasons various and the forum rules prevent me from saying anything. At least one other forum member though knows what Im on about!

Given the above I cant really say much without sounding rather biased and prejudiced, esp on the open forum.

Mail me and I can answer you, so Ted is in no danger of getting sued!

Just thought I give a little more info.

Went on a long motorway run yesterday manchester-birm-london and back. If anything cabin noise is less intrusive at normal cruising speeds, with absolutely no "resonance" in the cabin.

Noticably louder edgier note when accelerating up the rev range. I was obviously cruising at 70 mph, but If you were to cruise at around 85/95 I would have thought that there would be no noise issues in comparison with the original car.

I summary, I'm delighted.
