Hand brake light stopped working

it was dim when i started the car, then messed around with the hand brake pulling it on and off it came on a few times, but now it dose not work at all ? is there a switch around the hand brake lever it self, if so do you remove the centre console.

Bulb is shared with low fluid level warning, check that first by unscrewing the brake fluid reservoir cap.

Switch can be accessed by removing centre console ~ methods depend on year of car.
I think yours may be covered on the Chim pages.
