Over the past four weeks I have been very close to getting a ticket on three occasions by nudging over thirty in sites where Mobile Vans are Parked, not that in most cases fourty would be a sensible speed, though I have decided I have got to get a reminder In car other than the wife - as I do try hard to keep to the speed limit and generally especially in built up areas, though even with a 21 yr old 944 turbo it don't like 30 much - being non techy - any info would be appreciated - I thought of a snooper Indigo but dont need the Sat Nav I have a prefectly good Map. cheers.Browser

Laser detectors aren't much use - there is very little detectable scatter. Typically the first you know about it is when the detector warns you - too late.

Best method for avoidance is a GPS system I'm afraid - tied up with a Mark I eyeball.

If they aren't illegal already, detectors will be very soon

LASER detectors will, but there are no plans to ban GPS devices.

I have a snooper S4 neo - it has gps and a laser detector, very easy to use but as puggit has said the laser bit isn't much use really. You can pick one up on ebay for 40 quid... if you don't get on with it you can always pop it back on ebay.
