That is a shame. I hope it doesn't get parted out. I hope the buyer restores it to its former glory.

Damage does not look too bad. New front end and you'd be laughing.
I doubt the car will go for more than a couple of hundred quid as GRP repairs are not cheep.

For those who don't know I recently sold a wedge front end for a mere £20 from the wreck I bought last Feb (See my profile for the pic). I knew I should have kept it.

Another front end for sale here:
www.pistonheads.com/sales/131794.htm

It'll probably be broken up for spares. Shame really.

It looks to be an easyish repair unless the chassis has taken a battering, but it doesnt look so bad!

If I had the money now, I probably would yes

If it wasn't going to cost $2800 to float it over on a boat I'd have already placed a bid. It really doesn't look that bad.

When a undamaged 280 FHC tasmin only makes £1000 - £1500 it wont make much. Its does not look too bad, looking at the cross member he didn't hit the bollard / lamp post very hard. I hope somebody buys, fixes it and brings it to WF

Im fairly sure TET Mouldings do the nose cone for about £700, someone in the know can graft it on and sort out any bits for around £400 and blow the paint in brings it to a square £1400 - £1800 depedant on where you go

Depending on how much you get it for in the first place, but in my opinion its the kind of thing I would buy and put on the road to enjoy the immense joy and pride of having saved another good car from a lonely existence

What's the differnce between GRP and normal fibreglass? Will minor repairs work
using the basic mesh and resin that you'd use to fix a boat?

Sorry my fault I think. I figured there was an difference between the two terms.
I thought there was something that made GRP superior to just "fibreglass" because
the term GRP is very new to my vocabulary, fibreglass isn't. I think maybe it's one
of those English/Canadian differences in terminology. ie: your "hood" is my roof, and
my hood is your bonnet.
