Trouble with MOHAA online

I am experiencing jittery online play, server disconnects, and the following error came up the last time the game crashed/froze: MSG_ReadDeltaEntity: unrecognized entity field type 7106 for field 200
Can anyone help??
I have updated the card drivers, and reinstalled the game which I bought recently.
When it crashes, the screen goes blank/black, and you hear gameplay sound for a further second before it goes too.
Its pi$$ing me off to say the least.
I am running a Belkin wired router, and its not been right since I had to unplug it. The online gameplay has been slower. I have restarted it, but no difference.
