Option two worked like a dream...thanks guys
2. Would not come out of a triggered-alarm state after a flat battery. Keyfob non-responsive and the hazard lights flashed for c.45sec every time a door was opened. Solution was to remove the pos(+) battery terminal for 1min, then reconnect (with car closed up) and press the keyfob after a 15 second
