Production Numbers - Various
Discussion
Hi interested in production numbers of various variants. Can someone direct me to a list?
I'm toying with getting a 996TT or 996GT3 or even 996GT3RS - budget is in the 40-50k bracket, so may need to wait obviously for later models - was quite surprised that in another post someone just icker up a blue 996RS for £51k!!
I'm interested in knowing how rare (or otherwise) some of this stuff is - primarily from a residual perspective (rarer I assume is better for long term value - compare with 3.2Carrera CS). So, anyone know :
a) how many RHD 996 TT made (2000-2005)
b) how many RHD 996 GT3 Mk 1 made
c) how many RHD 996 GT3 Mk 2 made
d) how many RHD 996 GT3 RS made
e) how many RHD 996 GT2 made
Also for comparison - how many 911 3.2Carrera CS made, and 993 RS/GT2 etc.
Plus - a side issue, I've got the impression from some posts that the Mk1 GT3 is more "special" in some way (what way?) than the Mk2.
(PS I'm just after a relatively special 911 with lots of go, 5+ years of possible OPC warranty left, that I can live with day to day. Not really that fussed about tracking etc. I get the impression that a GT3 is still a fine day to day car and not too track focussed? - as a benchmark I'd consider an Exige is way too focussed for a day to day car.)
