My tuscan which is now entering the 1000k engine rebuild requires tappet adjustment, any ideas on how much i should pay to have this done

no its the first 1000 miles on the rebuild and they say the tappets need looking at for adjustment, i was wondering how much do you think this will cost

Should be done FOC.

If not costed in the rebuild then max 5hrs labour + shims.

There'll be an oil change too.

At least you took her through the full rpm range

ive only done it the once just to clear her out a bit

who rebuilt the engine, check with them to see if they will cover the cost of the clearance check. Also remember to get another 1000 miles on the engine before you consider it fully run in.

Tvr fix did the rebuild, so when can i floor it ??

Once you get the all clear from the 1k check up

TVR Power do the tappet adjustment foc as part of the rebuild. All you have to pay for is a new oil filter.
