I fancied a wee dramme and convinced Will to get me some at the Ben Nevis distillery, then we just carried on to the Isle of Skye for a lurk on the other side of the border!!!
We were driving South on Saturday, from the Isle of Skye and stopped off in Fort William, hence catching sight of B2 FAS!

Hi Jeff

I doubt if I could persuade Mrs V8HSV to do another road trip just yet having done 2k in a week, second problem would be in the HSV as it makes her sick with the coil over set-up and she is now used to the ride of her Omega, no doubt in a few months it could be re-considered. Must admit the Omega was brilliant for the Isle of Skye jaunt, 27.8 mpg, auto box, quiet & refined, cruised home at three figures on an empty M74/M6/M42/A34/M27, Glasgow to Portsmouth in under 7 hours including various stops, the 'empty’m/way network was a highlight for me, almost surreal if it was not for the rain around Oxford which had us aquaplaning at 40 mph!

Personally I would love to visit Orkney as I'm sure Dianne would, need you or someone to start organising a trip?

We were in glasgow on the weekend.. going back again on Wednesday for another visa interview cause apparently i needed another piece of paper, that wasn't on the requested documents form.
Talk about a stupid government. Firstly, my Mrs has to prove that she can support me, even though I make 4 times as much as she does. Apparently that isn't good enough. What the???
, as it is her who has to support me. Also i have to prove that I am still working for the same company as on my work permit. Umm, that would be breaking the rules yeah?

wish I'd known you were around Jace, could have caught up with you for a coffee and to see just how fast those mods have made your car. Spent Saturday deciding on a new daily driver - bored with the Civic after only 10 months so ordered an Astra Sport Hatch with the exterior pack - 18" alloys etc, then Sunday was the Scottish Motor Sport show - loads of very fast bikes, McRae family doing rally demos round a specially prepared circuit, capt sideways was there with a couple of others doing drift demos etc.

Yes, I'll need to get something organised soon. Trying to see what discount I can get for the ferry first then accommodation.
Sometimes the M way down to Birmingham can be quiet from Glasgow but when you've 6 points on the licence it doesn't make a big deal of difference to me My Mrs has an Omega Elite and it is very comfy indeed for the long distance slogs but doesn't corner too good yikes
