Oil Canister removal tool 997

Can anyone help re getting the oil canister off to change the paper filter on 9972s? Its a bit of a bugger and I dont really want to damage the thing. From what I can see an adapter like tool is needed, bit like a big socket is the best way of putting it. Dont think for a second OPC would lend me one, and I bet they are a caggilion to buy! Any thoughts?? Thanks 9hh

They come up often on ebay.com but not all ship to the UK. You can order them from most OPC's.

I think I remember this being discussed before. They can be found in Halfords and the dimention across is either 72 or 74mm. Best count the flats and measure to be sure.
