Procharged Can-Am back on track

Hi All
After an unsucsessful trip to the local rolling road a few weeks ago I have been trying to find the cause of the problem. The main problem was that once the engine had warmed up the AFR became unstable and the engine refused to rev with the AFR figures getting way to lean. I know the Holley software inside out and could not find a reason for the problem. The fuel pressure was fine and I could monitor it on my new gauges. Yesterday I re-checked the ignition components and all was working fine. The Holley commander system contols the ignition timing. It still has a distributor and single coil used in conjuction with an MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition system.
Today I uploaded the current map to my laptop and replaced the ECU for a new one. I downloaded the map and started the engine. I almost started crying with delight as the engine sounded so much smoother. The AFR figures were stable and all was well with the world.
So I can now get busy with the mapping and the few jobs I have left before I take the car for its first MOT.
Today was a great day and a real turning point for the project. I hope to meet up with most of you with the car in the coming months.
Regards Dave

Glad to here buddy, what made you buy another ECU ?? or was it the last thing to change ???
I bought a spare ECU as they are only £280 and you never no what might happen? As in what happened here!
It was the last thing to change as everything else had checked out OK.
In the main the ECU was working OK. The engine started first time everytime. All the sensors were working fine and the ignition side of the ECU was working. The AFR readings in the mapping software are taken from the left hand exhaust. I ran an LM1 AFR meter from the Lamda sensor from the right hand exhaust. After the engine had warmed up the AFR readings from both meters would drop now and again to a low of 18:1 at the same time. I suspected it may be the injector drivers internal to the ECU. Hence the change of ECU.
Deductive reasoning Steve not desperation!
Thanks for all the positive comments.
