Did anyone see it?

As soon as the program finished my sister text me "it's official Lambo's are for sissy's and posers" lol and I haven't even got one......yet

I was impressed with the car but obviously Jeremy and co don't think highly of the brand.

Was fantastic, missed the first bit but caught the bit on the LP640, the noise is un-godly!
I want, a lot...
I think perhaps getting back into buying lottery tickets is in order!

Yeah, if they actually did hit 207 that's extremely impressive. However, I never tend to believe much I see/hear on TG now. I mean what are Torques and Horsepowers?

loved that LP640. it went like sh!t off a shovel and it sounded unbelievable! yikes
lovely car, but if i had that sort of money to spend on a car i think i'd be seriously torn between the Lambo and the 599. both are utterly tremendous cars IMO.

To sum up: driving the LP640 hard is like dangling your plums in a lion's mouth while eyeballing it, hence it's for poseurs, not real drivers. That all assumes that the end goal is simply to be the quickest thing on the road.

A good result for Lambo and the stats speak for themselves... fastest car they've had on the straight and as quick as a CGT on the Track.... truly impressive performance for a car of that weight and definitely a Hypercar...

Dunno, but he did. My mate bought the tyres off it. Obviously don't want to ruin the Stigs reputation, but they got their filming in so it must have been done afterwards. Might not have been the Stig that crashed it after all??

I thought they crashed YEV 1L which was spotted at HR Owen Chiswick needing repair so was suprised to see the Dragon Green LP640 on Italian plates ...

No YEV1L was crashed recently but it was minor, and was a customer's fault. Lambo London are now taking a 5k deposit before giving test drives on the LP640. I saw YEV1L yesterday at Lambo Manchester looking well. The car on Top Gear was/is a factory press car and was at Millbrook recently, on one of Lambo London/Manchester's customer days. Its this car that was crashed and I believe is still being repaired at a cost of 35k.

Also heard that a Lambo dealer that remains nameless filled their 640 with Diesel the other day. How I don't know but its out of action for the timebeing

I think the price is pretty good considering a Zonda for example is twice the price but not twice the performance..I can't think of anything else with the badge/name, performance and looks tho that gives that level of performance for £195k even with all the extra's apart from a 599 of course.
In my opinion its so different to a 599 in terms of driver aids and technology. The Murcie's/640 traction control for example, is so basic its laughable. It simply cuts either one or both banks of cylinders when it comes in, whereas the 599 has all sorts of computerised trickery. But I suppose thats what it comes down to in terms of choice. Basic raw appeal with the 640, or a supercar that almost does it all itself with the 599
