Well, after hearing so many stories of Cerbs being rescued by other vehicles, it filled my heart with pride when Mrs.Cerbera rang on Sat afternoon to say that her 206 'was dead' whilst shopping.
Me 'n' Cerbie rushed over for a quick jump after which we were the heroes of the weekend (Extended car wash session permitted on Sunday aftie !)

Yeeehaaa Cerb reliability !!

Not from the weekend, but our Audi has managed to break down away from the house as many times as the Cerb, except its managed it in just over a year, compared to the Cerbs 7? years.


Cerbs broken down a couple more times at home though, so its a cheeky victory, until you add in the fact that the Cerb has done 70k miles or thereabouts, is driven PROPERLY when warm and is also ten years old later this year. I maintain that these cars are mechanically extremely strong, I cant think of many other performance cars that wouldnt have gone through a box/diff/engine in the same sort of use that our Cerb just shrugs off? Hell even my Smart has been through a box/diff (not sure which, replaced them both at the same time, they're in the same unit and there was a worrying bearing noise, it literally sounded like a straight cut box'ed mini!!) - very impressive stuff.

In Wimbledon on Sunday in an underground car park a little bit of right foot and bang, pop bang. I look back and there was a nun blessing herself. My little girl told her mum the nun blessed us I have a feeling she did not bless us.

Spoke to may Dad on Saturday, he has heard of some fella runing an MG midget. They did a full cost analysis and it has cost him over £3000 a year to run (to be fair I guess it is as immaculate as an MG Midget can be) - he is slowly beginning to understand Cerby ownership, and the father son bond was there.

That REALLY cheered me up.

Then I found out he was eyeing up purchasing a BMW 318i cabriolet and everything was wrong in the world again.

I popped over to the TVR 3counties meet near Cheltenham yesterday and had a great drive there and a better one back following jensena in his 4.5. Nice to see a Cerbera from behind and be able to keep up

Yeah.

Mine is now starting on the button first time after my bit of experimental repair work yesterday.

While it's still "on trial", I do believe I have conclusively solved the great "I have to hold the start button for three minutes, open the door and switch on the lights" mystery of the Cerb.

I would just like to say in defence of my little 206 that it turned out we had bought a duff battery! With a decent battery fitted, it is now running fine Nevertheless, a big THANK YOU to Mr Cerbera and to his trusty black steed for rescuing me in my hour of need !!

Our new Freelander 2 brakes failed last week, calipers and all new pads fitted. This week the fitted dvd player is going in to be sorted because of feedback.

The cerbs been out three times in four days and it's running like a dream.
