Jag head gasket help please

I'll stick this in the for sale once I've properly identified what they are but to cut a longish story short, my grandfather has found 20-odd 6 cylinder Jag head gaskets in his loft.
We are pretty sure they are for a Jag engine, but not which.
I'm guessing at MkIIs as the prvious owner did up classic Jags but don't know enough about the marque to have a clue. The last batch he found he returned to the previous owner, but the guy passed away last year so he just wants to sell them to somebody that can use them.
The only thing on them is what we think may be a serial number: C28974 1E
Can anybody help point me to where I can find out what to advertise them as?
I live near Flying Cat Engineering so I'm going to give them a call too, but I'd rather trust a PHer for info and that a PHer got them.
