Door mirror removal?

Im having the mirror resprayed along with the front end but am unsure on how to have them removed. Is there an easy way without removing door cards etc? Poss by poping out mirro glass and some sort o screws on the inside to attach them to the stalks?

There was a topic on this recently although can't find it now. From memory the fixing screws are accessed by twisting the mirror on the stem by 90 Deg, and using a ball ended Allen key to remove the two fixing screws.

Yeah thats right, twist 90 degrees, remove two 4mm allen bolts, feed plug through hole and disconnect.
The glass is only held on by plastic clips, so tilt glass til you can get a plastic lever underneath and carefully pop it out.
