Er!???

Don't bother taking the bonnet off, if you only want to get to the battery!

Battery is located in the front off side wheel arch.

you first have to remove the bolt to loosen the battery cover.
Found best done by lying with back on the floor and feeling up the wheel arch with one hand and spanner/socket in the other.
Unless you have very thin arms and can reach between the wheel and arch to fit the clamps onto the terminals, you will have to jack up the car and take the wheel off, in which case easier to remove cover. Be careful of where you put the jack.

When you need to take the bonnet off it needs 2 people to lift it off. It is bolted down by 4 nuts near the front then if you have the TVR tool kit there is a 2 pronged device in there for you to use to release the brackets at the top of the bonnet, otherwise you need very thin fingers to push outer bit in.

hope this makes sense and helps
