Guy's,

Been messing in the light tent again - trying a few different things, and taking on board the comments previously.

Quite pleased with these few - but still not up to the standard of others on here!

Comments, as always, appreciated

And a little bit of 'photoshoppery'

I am in no way, shape or form an expert in watch photography, but is it not right that the time should be set to 1:50 with the second hand at the 12 position? maybe thats a bit pedantic but i definately remember reading something along those lines somewhere.

Nice shots though, i like the PS'ed one, nice motion blur.

Don't know about the second hand but you are correct that most jewellers used to set the hands at ten-to-two for the best aesthetic appearance.

Possibly should have the hands at 1:50, but couldn't be bothered with messing around and re-setting them afterward.

Might try it on the next lot though.

Thanks.

Or just take all of the photos at Ten to Two?

I think the Ten to Two setting was to encompass the Name which used to be central below the 12 o'clock - but that doesn't apply here. My watch must be quite old!

Your next challenge is to somehow capture the luminous markings ....whilst still being able to see the watch I've no idea if it's possible with a single exposure.

For some reason I prefer the standing up ones - I think I keep tilting my head to look at the others.

This is the closest to a 'lume shot so far:

Will have another play about though!

Thanks for the comments.
