yeah I blame my tyres too....clealy nothing to do with me being a pillock and trying to drive at XXX mph over a roundabout

take a leaf out of Bliarouts book and instead of calling it a crash call it 'that time i was doing a 540 degree drift'*
* note: degrees of drifting must increase with every repetition of story
A few years ago, the day before we were all setting off, 2+2 kids, to France, the rear end of my then 6 year old 3.2, started making sickening noises.
It was Friday afternoon and I rang AFN Porsche and following their advice, I detected a ripped off rear anti rollbar mount. They sent me down to Premier Luton.
You can imagine the scene: desperate 911 owner arrives mid Friday afternoon, asking for them to fix his car there and then, so he can go on holiday. Bill was about £310 and I was pretty grateful to have the car back all working.
Later that year, I was on the Porshce stand at the London Motor Show. After telling the MD of PGB my tale of woe, he said write in and although the car was outside warranty, it sounded a reasonable goodwill claim.
Anyhow the paid me out, but it was for £220 only not the £310 and they said that was the recommended rate for the job.
So back to challenge Premier's boss, who said.
"Our mistake, I dont't know how we possibly could have overcharged you"
So they refunded the difference.
Only think I can say, is this was back in 1995 so maybe it's unfair - but whoever ran it then did I think, knowingly overcharge me, due to the situation.
