With a slight wing re-design that would be perfect.

It's definitely go - the official Geneva show site lists it as one of the premieres.

I wouldn't want to be the dealer getting a call from Sant' Agata about how the bloody hell this got loose in advance of Geneva! Heads will roll.

100kgs saving is about right for the changes made. Though whether that's Italian Kgs or EU Kgs remains to be seen. Where are my bathroom scales?

Evolution rather than revolution (a tired expression, I know, but apt). I like it. Must have been very tempting to call it "Sport Veloce" instead.

Perhaps it'll form the basis of a single make race series.

I would have liked to see the new car released as an sv model, two wheel drive and void of as many luxury items as possible. Maybe that is for another day .....

I know what you mean.
But I think Lamborghini see 4WD as a major asset on the road, and is as much their USP as having the engine in the (alledged) wrong place is for Porsche.

Let's face it, most drivers are average (those of us with a racing background would like to think otherwise but that could still be vanity) irrespective of which car they choose to drive.

If you accept this as a basic premise (discuss, etc) then a driver without prejudice will be quicker in a 4WD car than a rear drive car. On the road at least.

Modena Cars soon to be unveiled race Gallardos are rear drive. But then, they are proper track cars, and not trackday cars.

I'm sure there some people out there who think a GT3RS and 360CS are more than trackday cars but they'd be wrong (I know from personal experience that the 911 Turbo is a much faster roadcar than the RS). It still takes an awfull lot of effort to turn these into competitive GT cars.

So, I see the Superleggera is a trackday car in the mould of the CS and RS, rather than an homologation special which is what the CS and RS really are.

I wasn't smitten to start with, and some things about it still grate, but I'm starting to like it. This is a worry....
