Recently I spotted that 996's in the classified were outnumbering 993's by 4:1.

I think someone made the point that they made 4 times as many 996's (although I'm not sure how true that is).

But the ratio has now increased to 5:1 (48 993's/240 996's)only 3 weeks later.

So how many 996's exist out there? Surely there can't be a decent used market for such a mass produced car?

Are we going to see the same thing with the 997?

Listen, I want to emphasise that I'm not inferring anything about the quality of the 996 here. Only the fast flooding used market for them.

I think Porsche should be putting it's prices up and selling less cars.

I take back my comments about getting a 996 as a station car. It could soon be the preferred choice for snobby banger racers instead of aged Rollers!

Appx 75000 993 all varients
Appx 160000 996 all varients
So just over 2:1 ratio.
Dont forget most people with the 996 are more likely to upgrade to the 997, than down grade to the 993. So that means more 996s for sale.
Comments about reduced cars sales and increased prices are..well not a very good business plan shall we say!!!
