I don't own any tents or other camping-y things so I've been Googling like mad and found this site. I can't believe the cheapness of the prices, the girl I spoke to on the phone was incredibly helpful, reassured me about quality and hygiene and things, is going to make sure that the sleeping bag I borrow is brand new, knew which tents would be easy for wheelchairing and so on... so basically I'm giving them a bit of a plug because they were so nice and helpful, and other PHers without an obvious source of tent and other gear might like to give them a try too.

since your in and around manchester, it might be worth having a trip over to warrington to Outdoorworld

or online here: www.outdoorworld.org.uk

Dunno how you'd get on going instore with a wheelchair, but the folks in there are pretty helpful bought several tents from them, and usually have any supplies we need.

Cheers, Lord S, but I'm really not in the market for buying camping stuff, given that PF will be the first time in a decade that I've spent the night in a tent. Hence why I'm so chuffed to have found such a good place to hire from!
