Does anybody have any experience of Porsche's attitude wrt aftermarket exhausts and warranty issues? Looking at posts on the US Cayman owners website the situation in law there appears to be that such an item would not void the warranty. Is this the same over here?

I would suggest that if you are fitting a non porsche part to your car then anything connected to that part would be void under the warranty. For example uprated exhausts have not been tested for homologation reasons and would not have passed the type aproval. Therefore and failure connected to the exhaust or outlet on the engine would probably not be covered.

That seems fair enough, but how about total engine failure; would they argue that the fitment of a non-standard exhaust has caused the engine to be operating outside of its design specification?
