First lights now temp

Well the lights are not going onto dipped beam, and tonight coming home from work the temp guage
is reading 105, could it be a fuse, the cars just had a service and worse than ever, any ideas anyone - please

Do the fans cut in? If not then it could be the sender to the ECU if yes then check the water levels. Did yhey drain the coolant at the service? If yes then I suspect an air lock. 105 isnt too bad but much over then then worry.

just topped up the expantion tank was almost empty and ran it only one of the fans seems to be coming on (drivers side)
also had the light control unit out and seems ok, nothing burnt out but still no main beem. are there any fuses i should be looking at?

Did you check the ribbon cable?

yes hand a fiddle around seems to be pushed right in, the main beem comes on now and again without doing anything
when driving of parked up!

there is another ribbon cable, smaller that runs from the main light switch (the twisty one). to an exposed pcb board inside all the covering around the steering column which then connects to the wires going back to the control boxes... check that one as well
