I have spent the last three weeks beating the rear chassis with various tools , replacing one of the trailing arms , painting the chassis in hammerite and generally getting it looking really tidy !!..

Having completed that I have now moved on to do the same on the front of the car and have found these holes in the front driver’s side outrigger.

what’s the best way to fix this ?, I sure it will involve welding which I will need to get someone to do...

I have checked all around the rest of the outrigger and it does appear to be fine.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated...

Sorry about your chassis, I had the same problem the end of last year. There is no easy way out, the body needs to be lifted and a new section of tube welded in. Depending how bad it is you may get away with just lifting the body a few inches, if its too bad the body may need to come complety off, you won't now until you start. I took the easly route (not for my wallet) and got Tower View to do it for me. If you are going to do it yourself there are a number of threads on here on the subject.

Try looking at this previous thread for some info:

Seems like Tower View (N London) have some experience of S series chassis repair.
Good luck!

Just beat me to it Mark!
