Rough valuation for my Cerb

Hi all
I know you are not all experts but i'm after a rough sort of valuation for my Cerb. I intend to sell it, but my Cerb is a bit different. It's currently in Dulford TVR (Nr Exeter) having a complete respray, complete new windows (front, rear & sides) plus new leather interior including dash. It will also have a new clutch fitted. It's a 1998 4.5 V8, with 31,000 miles. Service and MOT due in July.
Any ideas would be much appreciated(there are pics of my Cerb on my profile page)

Funnily enough (ie I am considering selling mine) I have a view as my car is similiar except mine has a rebuilt engine less than 1K ago plus has nitrons and spiders. I would say that a great 99 4.5 with good mileage (ie not too low and not too high) is worth £16K on the nose. LEss if you are desparate or it has something letting it down eg suspension or condition. Maybe a little more if you want to wait for a while. The cheaper cerbs (earlier cars) are bunching at 12K (ignoring the 2 or 3 that have sold too cheaply for whatever reason). So I cant see that £16K for a good un is too steep but some people will disagree. I am not going to listen to the 'its only worth what someone will pay'. It is only worth what I Will let it go for !

I'd say £14k to £14.5K.
If it had stone chips, torn leather, a knackered clutch or broken windows, some buyers might try and haggle some money off. However, your's seems to have all that sorted

That estimate seems very low to me, if the work described has been carried out to a high standard then the car should look 'as new', that's got to be worth at least an extra £1K of anyones money.
If I was looking I'd certainly be giving you a call.
Has it been resprayed yet? If not you could offer the buyers colour of choice, I'm sure it would sell very quickly then!

I agree with Russ in the current climate,, if you want to sell the car in a reasonable amount of time, you are looking at about 14.5k at most.
look at all the cars recently that have been going for 11-13k 99 4.5`s its a sad sight, how much of that was panic selling i dont know.
my 98 4.5 with 31k miles sold for 13.5k.
Take a look in the classifieds at how many dreamers have their cars on for 16+ which IMHO unless its above a 2000 car, they are dreaming and you see the same overpriced cars day after day..not selling.
People say.'ive spent this much on it' the point is that if you can pick a 4.5 cerb up for 11k and all it needs is a new clutch..then bargain in my book.
You may be lucky and get someone who doesnt want to take the risk buying a cheaper car... but remember its a Buyers Market and if you need to get rid of the car soon then you`ll have to list it at a low price.
if you can afford to hold onto the car for 6 months, then advertise it at 15k (assuming you have spiders) and hope someone comes along...on a side note you will then run into the summer months which is when people buy, along with there will be less uncertainty with TVR which will also raise prices.

speaking from somone that first advertised his for 16k then eventually lowerd it to 13.5 to get people interested.

Sorry I'm not in the market for a Cerbera either but I'd give you at least 18K,
if I was in the market I'd give you 10K!

PS Sorry - Just making the point that valuations by fellow-Cerbera owners not actually in the market are not very good indicators.
