Hi Paul,

I believe there are only 14 roadsters in the country anyway, of which i would think the majority are E-gear. I was thinking about buying a black manual from lambo London last year.

You will not get much use of a roadster in Scotland I beleive the roof takes ages to put on by which time car,you and Fi/baby soaked,or do you plan to move south?

Mine is orange with black interior and orange stitching. I was told there are 14 in the country, of which I believe 3 are orange, although I heard one orange one was written off.
Mine is E-gear, I think there are about half and half E-gear/manual.
As for the roof, I am tired of hearing how difficult they are to put on because they're not. Attached to the canvas are two metal rods, which I alone can clip into the recesses in seconds, and pull the roof over the cockpit instantly to protect the car from rain. The rest of the procedure can be done with the roof in place, thus protecting the car, and can be done in about 3 minutes.
I can only describe the episode on Top Gear some time ago as pathetic and played up for the camera to make interesting viewing. It is not brain surgery.

ALC,

Whats the quickest youve been with hood up? I know they dont recommend you going over a certain limit (100mph I think) was just wondering what you can do safely. Plus do you get any leaks?

Plus whats it like hood down?

Ta,
HN.

I have taken her up to approx. 130mph with the roof on with no adverse effects. I do not take her out if rain looks likely but on one occassion I had to put the roof on and drive approx. 10 miles home with moderately heavy rain with no water ingress max speed 60mph. With the roof off the noise from the sports exhaust epecially from a V12 is amazing, and for this reason alone I would never buy a coupe. Much prefer the Lambo to my previous 2005 Ferrari 360 F1 which I found troublesome.

Rob - no just a replacement.

Andy - thx for the info

Jon - not sure, dependant on car I guess

Neil - your probably right but Fi is into it which means she forgets about Gallardos

ALC - thx for the insight into ownership

I just don't think people get to know what it's like to own these cars on a 1hr test drive, and thats my biggest concern!!

Hi Richard wavey i've had the pleasure of seeing Richards car , it really is stunning. Describing it as Mint wouldn't do it justice.

Mosi - 888 vehicle solutions seem to offer every car under the sun

Look at their stock list and the library pictures/blatent steals from Macari's site , 99% of the time the cars don't exist and they are fishing for orders

Their picture for the Roadster on autotrader isn't even a Roadster !!!!!

You will still get VERY wet in 3 mins thats ages in a downpour it may not be difficult but it seems time consuming IMO. Not very nice to get into your dry car with dripping and soaked clothes.

Ed Hick's dad took his up to 165 Mph with the roof on! He forgot that your not supposed to go above 110 mph but said that it was fine although he won't be repeating the feet!! lol
