280 info wanted

Can anyone help me identify what the following parts are from (car is 1985 280i 2+2):

Fuel filler cap
Driveshaft UJ
Coolant filler cap (the one in the metal pipe, not on expansion tank)
Rear window struts (on coupe, obviously)
Indicator stalk

Any info much appriecated.

Fuel filler cap.......Don't know but I did order a replacement from TVR about 10 years ago and had to replace the neck as well. So there are at least 2 different types out there......and probably more.

Driveshaft UJ........Hard Spicer HS166 (beware of cheap crap) and make sure they have grease nipples.

Coolant filler cap......Don't know

Rear window struts.....These were made by TVR. What's wrong with yours? I have heard of people using Chim/Griff ones, but they are slightly bigger I believe.

Indicator stalk......depends on the age of the car. Early ones (like my 83 Tasmin) are TR7. Later ones Rover SD1 and later still Granada I think.

used a chimaera cap on mine and its perfect

struts you can buy from a compnay who were mentioned here on an ealier thread
you juts needthe numbers of the old ones (pressure readings etc and the length)

there is a place near kidderminster called proptec that made the original drive shafts, i've had a few reapired buy them if you need them fixing drop me a line
