Gel Battery or what?

Has anyone put one of these into their Chimaera. I've got a 1996 500, is there one that would fit? If not should I be getting a 075 from Halfords?!?

The problem with gel batteries such as DMS red tops is that they do not like period of low current discharge e.g. car parked up with alarm on as it shortens their life. And at about 4 times the price of the 072 battery I bought a few months ago... not that good value. Great for competition cars but not as good for road cars.
